Buffalo Niagara Enterprise (BNE) is supported by Directed Energy to continue their efforts to encourage renewable energy companies to expand to the Buffalo Niagara region by increasing the profile and awareness of the region among renewable energy companies and site selection professionals. BNE’s Research Department, in addition to providing content for marketing materials, will identify and acquire target company lists and then conduct the necessary background research on the companies. This background research will ensure that the companies in question are strong prospects and that BNE Business Development staff is adequately prepared with sufficient knowledge of the company’s operations, processes, plans and needs.
As potential company prospects are identified and qualified, BNE will also use Directed Energy funds to provide company-specific outreach and business development assistance to facilitate the successful relocation and expansion efforts of smaller to mid-sized companies. These companies, because of their size, do not possess these capabilities in-house and our experience has shown that the region can be quite competitive in attraction of these companies who then have the ability to grow exponentially.
