Smart Grid Opportunities
Wednesday, April 21
Buffalo/Niagara Marriott, Amherst, New York
Although the use and waste of electricity has risen exponentially over the years, little has changed in the infrastructure or the fundamental business model of the electricity grid - until now.
Today, the industry looks toward developing a smart grid: one that is more efficient, more reliable, and focused on interactivity with consumers and their electricity needs. Learn how this imminent paradigm shift will completely change the way we produce, distribute, and consume electricity - and spark new and exciting opportunities in a wide range of areas.
Keynote Speaker: Robert B. Catell
Mr. Catell is Chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) at New York State University at Stony Brook; Chairman of the New York State Smart Grid Consortium; Chairman of Alberta Northeast Gas Ltd.; a member of the board of directors of KEYERA Energy Management Ltd.; and Chair of New York State Foundation for Science, Technology, and Innovation (NYSTAR).
Who should attend: CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs, and other executives, managers, and decision-makers; researchers, academics, and engineers; purchasing agents; and others involved with or interested in the opportunities resulting from recent innovation.
